KSBNS 2024

in conjunction with the APSN

October 15(Tue)-18(Fri), 2024
HICO, Gyeongju, South Korea

Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to welcome you to KSBNS 2024: the 27th annual meeting of the Korean Society for Brain and Neural Sciences in conjunction with the 18th biennial meeting of the Asian-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry, scheduled for October 15-18, 2024, at Gyeongju Hwabaek International Convention Center (HICO) in Gyeongju, located in the Bomun Lake Resort Complex, one of Korea’s most popular tourist destinations.

The primary goal of our conference is to provide you with an exceptional opportunity to update cutting-edge advancements and new concepts in the field of neuroscience. This year we will have four world-renowned speakers: Li-Huei Tsai (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) for the plenary lecture, Ted Abel (University of Iowa), Loren Frank (University of California, San Francisco), for the keynote lectures, and Eunjoon Kim (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) for the ISN lecture. In addition to this, the Scientific Program Committee will put together an exciting scientific program that appeals to a wide range of neuroscientists and pay special attention to make the conference a nurturing ground for young neuroscientists to help grow networks and exchange research achievements. For this, we have planned to organize 30 symposia showcasing various fields of neuroscience, young neuroscientist colloquia and mini-symposia to provide young students and investigators opportunities to learn practical skills and knowledge for their career development. We will expand the space for poster presentations to create a pleasant communication environment.

The exhibitors are also welcome to the conference. The exhibitor’s booths will be situated in the poster area to promote interaction between the participants of the scientific program and our commercial partners. The exhibitors will be pleased to introduce their most recent instruments and research materials. We expect it to serve as an important bridge to inspire us to push for Bench-to-Business or Bench-to-Bedside approaches.

We look forward to seeing you all in Gyeongju, a city with 1,000-year history and making this meeting a scientific highlight and a memorable festival.

Sincerely,

Cheil Moon, Ph.D. DIC
