Title · From Research to Diagnosis: Revolutionizing Alzheimer's Diagnosis with Simoa Blood Based Biomarker Measurement Blood Based Biomarker Measurement
    Speaker · Bing Xu (Quanterix)
Moderator · Gilok Shin (HS Biosystems)

As the world embarks on an inevitable population aging, societies face significant challenges and burdens. Alzheimer's Disease (AD) accounts for 60% of all dementia cases. Among various diagnostic approaches, blood-based tests for AD have emerged as a pivotal tool for population screening and early detection due to their non-invasive nature, accessibility, and relatively low cost. The presentation focuses on the pivotal role of Simoa technology in this transformational journey. Simoa, a revolutionary single-molecule array platform, redefines the boundaries of sensitivity in neuroblood biomarker detection, enabling the detection of low level of AD-related biomarkers that were previously undetectable. Then we will delve into the interpretation of the latest <Revised criteria for diagnosis and staging of Alzheimer's disease>, illuminating how Simoa technology aligns with and enhances these evolving standards. Moreover, we will illuminate real-world applications of Simoa technology in academic research, cohort study and clinical trials, demonstrating its potential to streamline patient selection, monitor disease progression, and evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic interventions. By bridging the gap between scientific discoveries and clinical care, Simoa technology holds the promise of revolutionizing the way we approach Alzheimer's disease.

Title · Overview of NeuroHarmony M2 EEG Device and NeuroHarmony MD Neurofeedback System or NeuroHarmony EEG Test and Neurofeedback Therapy
Speaker · Pyongwoon Park (Panaxtos Inc.)

This is a brief explanation of the functions of the medical EEG device NeuroHarmony M2 and the neurofeedback system NeuroHarmony MD. The EEG device is a 2-channel band-type system that measures brain waves from the prefrontal cortex, and the neurofeedback system utilizes the same EEG device, consisting of various treatment programs. The NeuroHarmony M2 EEG device includes two testing programs: NeuroSpec MD and Brint Monitor (BQM). NeuroSpec MD requires manual EEG analysis, while BQM provides automatic analysis and offers information on various brain health conditions.

NeuroHarmony MD currently offers 8 EEG protocols, with the neurofeedback difficulty adjustable in 5 levels. Additionally, by applying an AI algorithm, it actively adjusts the threshold conditions according to changes in patients' brain waves, thereby enhancing treatment effectiveness. NeuroHarmony M2 is covered by insurance, while MD is not covered by insurance.

Title · Exploring the Diverse Capabilities Enabled by PhenoCycler-Fusion (PCF)
Speaker · Gil-Je Lee (Akoya Biosciences)
Moderator · Sunmo Oh (Bio-Medical Science Co., Ltd.)

Breakthrough spatial biology applications such as spatial phenotyping (whole-slide imaging at a single-cell/sub-cellular resolution with tissue context) span the discovery-to-clinical continuum. To minimize time and maximize value along the continuum, it is imperative to make discoveries happen faster and at scale.
PhenoCycler-Fusion is an integrated platform combing the strengths of Akoya's automated, ultrahigh multiplex cycling platform, PhenoCycler, and its high-speed imaging platform, PhenoImageTM (formerly Phenoptics), into an end-to-end, integrated workflow. The insights gathered from spatial proteomics and transcriptomics have individually provided massive single-cell spatial proteomic data with single-cell spatial transcriptomics provides a truly holistic view of a tissues biology. Spatial multiomics will allow researchers to not only gather additional information but also generate new information. In this seminar, we will explore spatial phenotyping and its applications and how high speed ultrahigh-plex imaging coupled with automated fluidics control can open the door to comprehensive investigation of tissue samples.
