Presentation Type

During submission, you will have two options to choose from: either a poster presentation or an oral presentation.

  • Poster Abstract Submission
All submitted poster abstracts for a poster presentation will be reviewed by the scientific program committee after the submission deadline. At that time, abstracts may be rejected or there may be a request to revise an abstract.

As the result of the review, an abstract submitted for a poster presentation may instead be assigned to oral presentation. In that case, both the presenting authors and corresponding authors will be informed of any change to their submitted presentation type.

If you are a KSBNS student member, You may apply for the KSBNS Outstanding Poster Awards during your poster abstract submission. Application for the awards requires submitting an extended abstract which should include any additional data or information describing the main significant concept of the abstract. Those who apply for the awards will have their abstracts pre-evaluated by the scientific program committee after the submission deadline. The abstracts selected from pre-evaluation will be assessed by the judges during the poster presentation sessions.

The KSBNS Outstanding Poster Awards will be given to graduate students who manifested scientific skills in constructing a properly formatted scientific poster, ensuring readability and a clear presentation of the research content including the significance of discovery. The winners of the awards will be announced and acknowledged and shall receive a certificate and a cash prize at the General Assembly during the conference.

  • Oral Abstract Submission
The KSBNS program committee accommodates 12 oral presentation sessions this year to encourage oral presentations of young neuroscientists. All submitted oral abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific program committee after the submission deadline. At that time, abstracts may be rejected or there may be a request to revise an abstract.

Oral presentations will be selected by the selection committee based on scientific excellence and the clear manifestation of research content. If selected, presenters must deliver their presentation at the designated mini symposium grouped by thematic coherence. Cancelling a presentation after selection may result in a restriction in participating in future KSBNS conferences. Those not selected will have the option to present their work as a poster if they wish.

Confirmation of Receipt of Submission

Acknowledgement of receipt of your submission with an abstract submission number will be sent to the submitter’s email address and the corresponding author(s)' email address(es) immediately upon submission.
