Call for Minisymposia

The KSBNS offers graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and research professors(non-tenure-track professors only) an opportunity to organize and submit a themed minisymposium of their own. If you want to organize a minisymposium, please submit the title, brief description, and names/affiliations/talk titles of all your presenters in the proposal form by May 20, 11:59 PM (KST). Acceptance will be notified via email around June. For further inquiries, please contact neuro@ksbns.org.

Please follow the guidelines below:

  • Each minisymposium should last for about 50 minutes, with 4 speakers presenting and discussing a coherent topic in neuroscience that should be of interest to a broad audience.

  • Only graduate students, postdoctoral researchers including non-tenure-track research professors can participate in the minisymposium as speakers and organizers(chairpersons).

  • Each minisymposium should have 1 chairperson to moderate the session and lead discussion.

  • Speakers and the chair should be included only upon their consent.

  • All speakers must be present offline at the venue: HICO, Gyeongju and no online participation will be allowed.

  • English should be used as the official language.

  • Highest priority will be given to the proposals that include

    • - a diverse group of participants(e.g., gender, race, and country of origin) from different institutions under a cohesive theme.
    • - broader and outstanding interest to a general audience.
